„White Reserve“
You can look forward to a selection of our best white wines, from Grüner and Roter Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, and Traminer. These wines are from our best Wagram vineyards: Ried Schlossberg, Ried Mordthal and Ried Steinberg, as well as a selection of our large reserves.
Recommended for targeted tastings among friends, for relaxed enjoyment of every single bottle by oneself, or paired with roasted or braised meat, strong fish, and spicy cheeses.

FRITZ #02
„Roter Veltliner Variety“
When you say "Roter Veltliner," you’re saying "Fritz Winery". We have dedicated two of our best vineyards to this wonderful indigenous grape variety, which incidentally is not related to Grüner Veltliner. In addition to three single-site wines, the package includes the slightly fresher "Wagram terraces" variety, the mash-fermented "Gondwana" and an older reserve. This will give you some good insights into our favourite grape varietal.
A few words about this extraordinary grape: Roter Veltliner is not always simple or insensitive to heat and drought. The berries ripen late, and are bright red to violet in colour. Roter Veltliner is characterised by very distinct, elegant and dry extract-rich wines with a delicate spicy aroma and enormous development potential.

"Roter & Grüner Veltliner Palate-play"
The Roter and Grüne Veltliner have a part of their name in common, which causes confusion time and time again. Because they are not actually related to each other. The more famous Grüner Veltliner is a cross between Traminer and a hitherto unknown grape variety, which was named St. Georgen after the site of its discovery in Burgenland. The Roter Veltliner, on the other hand, is very old and itself a parent variety, together with Silvaner von Neuburger of the Frühroter Veltliner, and together with Traminer of the Rotgipfler and Zierfandler.
In 2011, the Red Veltliner was included in the "Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity" ark project „Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity“ to preserve the diversity of old plant varieties. It has been growing with us in Wagram for a long time, and we want to keep it that way!
The Grüner Veltliner is Austria's most important grape variety, but our most important is the Roter. Both grape varieties show a certain spiciness, but that’s the last of their similarities. You will see! Try our package of six wines with three Grüner Veltliners and three Roter Veltliners. We wish you a lot of fun, and the enjoyment of one or tWhere epiphanies, if you taste them blind.
